Most integrated circuits ("chips") are made from crystals of silicon atoms.

Silicon is element 14 in the periodic table. This means that each atom is made up of 14 positively charged protons, fourteen neutrons, and 14 electrons.

Borrowing from science fiction, here we show a "Do It Yourself" kit for making silicon atoms and crystals.
